Overview

Pushing boundaries in deep-cold drug storage with SCHOTT TOPPAC® freeze prefillable polymer syringes

Pharma companies are facing growing challenges in meeting deep-cold storage requirements. SCHOTT TOPPAC® freeze is the first ready-to-use prefillable polymer syringe for deep-cold drugs tested for temperatures down to -180 °C, offering reliable containment and the safe delivery of drugs that require deep cold storage conditions.

Made from high-quality Cyclic Olefin Copolymer (COC), this prefillable polymer syringe for deep-cold drugs provides excellent barrier properties, no ion or metal release, low protein adsorption, and full compliance with EP, JP, and USP Class VI standards.

With advanced quality control, automated repeatable processes and a comprehensive data package on deep cold storage performance, SCHOTT TOPPAC® freeze also comes with complete documentation for safe and effective administration.

Optimized cold storage for deep-frozen medications

An increasing number of modern therapies require cryogenic storage to maintain stability throughout the supply chain. This includes mRNA-based treatments, cell and gene therapies, certain chemotherapy drugs, and viral vectors such as the adeno-associated virus (AAV).

SCHOTT TOPPAC® freeze syringes offer a reliable containment solution for biopharmaceutical cold storage, with proven performance at temperatures down to -180 °C. Manufactured in a cleanroom using a fully automated process, the prefillable polymer syringes for deep-cold drugs are supplied in a ready-to-use nest-and-tub configuration. Their suitability for frozen drug delivery is backed by application-specific stability studies, including LNP and protein formulations.
